Tucson Hosts America’s Test Kitchen Chefs at Fall Southern AZ Home Show

Sep 8, 20254 min read

Two stars of the culinary world will headline the Fall Southern AZ Home Show at the Tucson Convention Center at 260 S. Church Ave. from Friday, Oct. 3, through Sunday, Oct. 5.

Celebrity Chefs on Stage

Julia Collin Davison and Bridget Lancaster (chefs, cookbook authors, and executive food editors for multi-platform cooking resource America’s Test Kitchen and co-hosts of its award-winning public television programs America’s Test Kitchen and Cook’s Country) will give presentations and meet visitors at 1 p.m. on both Friday, Oct. 3, and Saturday, Oct. 4.

“We’re excited to visit Tucson, which has such a vibrant food culture,” Lancaster said.

“We’re also looking forward to spending some time with fans of America’s Test Kitchen and everyone attending the Fall Southern Arizona Home Show,” Davison said

They will take attendees behind the scenes of the show, reveal what it takes to be a test cook, and demonstrate two recipes for two that prove simple meals can still impress.

Home Inspiration and Exhibits

Alongside culinary features, over 200 trusted local exhibitors will showcase home-related products and services. Visitors can shop, compare, and gather ideas for indoor and outdoor projects.

“Visitors depend on the show as the most reliable and convenient source for connecting with the companies, products and services they need for maintaining or improving their homes,” said Lucy Ferguson, show manager at the event. “With more than 20 categories of home experts, the show offers solutions for both indoor and outdoor home areas.”

The reconfigured floor plan introduces a new outdoor living display at the entrance and highlights Petopia, Artisans Aisle, and both the Fresh Ideas Stage and Culinary Showcase Stage.

Between the pools, hot spring and cold plunge, water slide, yoga, live music, complimentary bike rentals, and their nostalgic “Summer Rewind” experience, there was always something to do. We never left the resort.

The highlight at their on-site restaurant, Epazote Kitchen & Cocktails, was the Pollo Con Rajas - perfectly cooked chicken over a rich creamed poblano, onion, and corn mestizaje. And if you’re at their Sundance Café for breakfast, get the pozole. It’s made from a family recipe that became such a guest favorite it earned a permanent spot on the menu.

Although El Conquistador licenses the Hilton brand, it’s owned and operated by a local company. The culinary team sources much of its meat and produce from Arizona.

Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway or just looking for an incredible dinner with Catalina Mountain views, this spot is worth adding to your list. 🌵🌞
