There’s been quite a few anniversaries happening as we near the end of 2021, and there’s still time to add more to the list.
Whiskey Del Bac has reason to celebrate with its 10th-anniversary party at Westbound from 4 – 10 p.m. on Saturday, November 13.

Westbound, which is literally west of downtown and the freeway at 267 S. Avenida Del Convento, is gladly opening up its space for the party. It’ll include live music, a farmer’s market, Whiskey Del Bac cocktails, and a Whiskey 101 workshop.
Ten Year Anniversary Activities
Whiskey Del Bac Beverages
Westbound will be serving up Del Bac cocktails, along with Del Bac barrel-aged beers from Ten55 Brewing Company, Pueblo Vida Brewing Company, and Dragoon Brewing Company.
Whiskey 101 Workshops
Two seminars at 4 & 4:30 p.m.

Join Sharon – Spirit Specialist from Quench Distributors and Mark – Head Distiller from Whiskey Del Bac as they host a taste and talk symposium about the American Whiskey category and how it is evolving. We’ll share different styles and techniques that distilleries are using and discover why this category is bringing back the artistry of whiskey making.
Seats are limited, you’ve got to be at least 21 years old, and Tickets are $40 per person.
Farmer’s Market
This market is planning to feature some Tucson staples “with a Del Bac twist.” A few of the vendors include Blue Clover, HUB Ice Cream, Patsy Jean Embroidery, and Decibel Coffee.
Live Music
- Hannah Yuen from 4 – 6 p.m.
- Gabriel Naim Amor from 6 – 8 p.m.
- Dj Nada from 8 – 10 p.m.
Additionally, they’re releasing a special Ten Year Anniversary American Single Malt Whiskey, and it’s limited to a select number of bottles. You can snag one to enjoy at home by purchasing it online at 8 a.m. on Monday, November 15.

“This is an Arizona-only release. Our Ten Year Anniversary offering boasts flavors from our Whiskey Del Bac Classic matured in new American Oak and finished in ex-Calvados barrels. On the nose, you might find pipe tobacco, crushed grape skin, and hints of green apple. Served neat you might taste leather up front, heading into a bright pear and finishing with citrus mid-palate. On the rocks, the sweeter notes of pear and citrus move forward, bolstered by notes of sweet grapes. The vanillas and light tannic bite subside, replaced by flashes of salted caramel. It is 100 proof and has an ABV of 50%.”
Bottles will be priced at $110 and sales will be limited to one each order.
Westbound — where the party is being held — is located at 267 S. Avenida Del Convento. For more information, visit whiskeydelbac.com.

Matt Sterner
More about MattAt a very young age, Matt Sterner was gifted with the artistic ability to masterfully roll a burrito to the highest of standards, but the wrapped medley of delicious innards wasn’t his first love. Matt’s first true love was a combination of reading, writing, and creating. He grew up reading comics, the ingredients list of his shampoo and conditioner bottles, choose-your-own-adventure books, and the Scrabble dictionary — something he found useful when challenging his grandmother to a game.
He attended college at New Mexico State University and graduated with a degree in Digital Filmmaking. One of his favorite classes was screenwriting because he became responsible for the story’s birth before it came to life on-screen. After school, Matt took on numerous positions at a local television station in Tucson. From dealing out stories about heartbreak to producing “fluffier” content for a lifestyle broadcast, he learned what it takes to adapt to the many emotions the world of media can stir. Since 2017, Matt has dabbled in the culinary world of Tucson as well as San Diego, California from time to time.
If you’re in the mood for strange stories, head over to his pride and joy, wonkytimes.com. And in case you’re curious — yes, after all of this time, he still manages to roll a killer burrito.
