While the number of dining options in Tucson has grown significantly over the past few years, it’s easy to get stuck in the all too familiar “where-should-we-eat” rut.
One of the more unique options is Cafe Botanica inside the Tucson Botanical Gardens. An uber-quaint cafe featuring mostly patio seating, Cafe Botanica is a worthy addition in a beautiful setting pushing the boundaries of regional cuisine with local ingredients and crafty offerings.
From 5-8pm, this Thursday, July 16 the garden cafe continues Twilight Thursdays with complimentary garden admission (with a confirmed reservation) and a fresh menu. In fact, every Thursday is Twilight Thursday and features a fresh menu. You’ll need to check the Cafe Botanica site regularly to stay abreast of current offerings, but for this week, the menu is as follows.
Cafe Botanica Twilight Thursday Menu July 16 ($20++ per person)
- Appetizer – Tepary Bean-Lime Hummus with Cilantro-Mint Chutney served with Flour Tortilla Crisps
- Soup – Delicate Sun-Dried Tomato-Basil Soup garnished with Sleeping Frog Farm Kale and Arugula Sauté
- Choice of Entrée – Guajillo Chile and Coffee Bean Crusted Pork Tenderloin served over Warm Bean and Mango Salad Apricot Chutney or Greek-Style Seared Chick Pea and Sweet Potato Cakes served on a bed of Fresh Greens with Garlic-Feta Drizzle and Marinated Radish Garnish
As pictured, Cafe Botanica offers a delightful and refreshing selection of original non-alcoholic beverages, including Mint Cardamom Iced Tea, Sonoran Prickly Pear Sparkling Soda, and Apricot Grape Limeade, but if it’s wine or beer you prefer, you’ll have to bring your own.
