Back in September of this year, Jaime’s Pizza Kitchen moved into the vacant spot at 312 E. Congress St. (the former Little Love Burger across from Hotel Congress).
Ever since then, it’s been a tasty addition to the downtown Tucson pizza scene.
Now there’s a lunch special you need to check out if you’re walking around downtown midday or working nearby — starving for something to keep you going until the end of the day.
The pizza joint is currently offering a one-topping slice of pizza, a side salad, and a soda for just $10. Keep in mind that the deal is only available from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Tuesday – Friday. The menu includes toppings like pepperoni, sausage, bacon, red bell peppers, mushrooms, etc.
“We’re passionate about what we do. Everything is still made from scratch,” said Gabriel Moreno, owner and chef of Jaime’s Pizza Kitchen. “Everything’s got our entire heart and soul in it.”
Back in 2005, Gabriel got his start in the pizza world at the former Rockin’ Pizza in Tucson, he helped open Tubac’s Italian Peasant in 2010, moved back to Tucson to sling pizzas at Grimaldi’s, and then spent some time at Pizza Luna before it closed in 2022. Now, with a new space and a brand-new dining room, Jaime’s Pizza Kitchen is thriving, serving 10-inch and 16-inch pizzas, calzones, garlic knots, and hot wings to hungry downtown eaters.
