Barrio Brewing and ‘Hot Ones’ Team Up For a Fiery Pop-Up Menu

Comin' in hot!

Right on the heels of the 25th season of First We Feast’s Hot Ones, Barrio Brewing is inviting local fans to “take the hot seat” with the launch of the Hot Ones Wings & Sandwiches pop-up.

Starting on Thursday, January 16, you’ll be able to order from Hot Ones Wings & Sandwiches for delivery and pick-up only from Barrio Brewing. So, folks in Tucson can experience Hot Ones at home via menu items tossed in the famed fiery sauces seen on the YouTube show.

The menu features six-piece wings, 12-piece wings, and very spicy crispy chicken sandwiches coated in sauces tested by A-list stars during the current season of the show.

You can check out the full Hot Ones menu (beginning Thursday, January 16) at hotonesdelivery.com or via Uber Eats, GrubHub, and Doordash. 

The spicy lineup of hot sauces fans can taste include: 
  • Los Calientes™ Rojo: Spicy and tropical 
  • Los Calientes™ Verde: Baja-inspired
  • Los Calientes™ Barbacoa: Earth, smoke and heat 
  • The Classic™ Chili Maple: The perfect balance of sweet and heat 
  • Original Buffalo: Rich and tangy 
  • The Last Dab Apollo Hot Sauce 

Hot Ones Wings & Sandwiches will be open for online ordering from 11 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. on Monday – Thursday, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and again from 7 – 9 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.

At a very young age, Matt Sterner was gifted with the artistic ability to masterfully roll a burrito to the highest of standards, but the wrapped medley of delicious innards wasn’t his first love. Matt’s first true love was a combination of reading, writing, and creating. He grew up reading comics, the ingredients list of his shampoo and conditioner bottles, choose-your-own-adventure books, and the Scrabble dictionary — something he found useful when challenging his grandmother to a game.

He attended college at New Mexico State University and graduated with a degree in Digital Filmmaking. One of his favorite classes was screenwriting because he became responsible for the story’s birth before it came to life on-screen. After school, Matt took on numerous positions at a local television station in Tucson. From dealing out stories about heartbreak to producing “fluffier” content for a lifestyle broadcast, he learned what it takes to adapt to the many emotions the world of media can stir. Since 2017, Matt has dabbled in the culinary world of Tucson as well as San Diego, California from time to time.
