Wok Fire & Grill to Permanently Close After 6 Years in Business

By Matt Sterner

"With full hearts and deep gratitude, we want to say thank you."

Wok Fire & Grill, the fast-casual restaurant located near the University of Arizona at 1135 N. Park Ave., is permanently closing.

The team behind the restaurant is ending its six-year run near the corner of Park Avenue and Speedway Boulevard — the very last day will be Sunday, April 27.

No specific reason was given for the closure, but the following was shared on social media:

“After six incredible years, Wok Fire & Grill will be closing its doors — but not without first expressing just how much your support has meant to us. You weren’t just customers—you became part of our extended family.

“Every kind word, every like/share, every visit, every shared meal helped build something truly special. You gave life to our small restaurant, and your loyalty is the reason we were able to keep going all these years. Through good times and hard times, you stood by us — and for that, we are eternally thankful.

“We’ve had the honor of celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, quiet dinners, and quick lunches with you. You let us be a part of your everyday moments and your milestones, and we’ll never forget that. Special shoutout to VSA (Vietnamese Student Association) and all the other clubs that partnered with us for fundraisers and events. Your energy, passion, and community spirit brought life and joy to our space. We’re so grateful to have been part of your journey.

“Though this chapter is ending, the memories, the friendships, and the gratitude will stay with us forever. Thank you for allowing us to live our dream, and for making it more meaningful than we ever imagined.”

The team is aiming to keep the restaurant open until the end of the day on Sunday, April 27 (subject to change).

Stop in and wish them well!
