Father’s Day: Tucson Restaurants Celebrating Dads in 2023

Jun 8, 20235 min read

Save the grilling for another day! This Father’s Day has special dishes, cheap pints of beer, and meal deals that are big enough to feed the entire family.

Is your dad hard to shop for? Does he have everything he could possibly need, including all your love? If you’re looking for a gift that just keeps, giving might I suggest a Foodie 500 membership? It’s all that and a bag of chips.

Keep in mind that we’ll be adding to the list each day leading up to Dad’s big day, so check it occasionally if you haven’t found the perfect meal for your parent. Oh, and pay attention to the dates because some of these are happening before Father’s Day on Sunday, June 18.

Try out their incredible food and drink menus — we recommend the I’ll Be Bac (Del Bac Dorado, House Bitters, Demerara, Amarena) and the Jalapeño Popper Burger (Two chorizo smash burgers, bacon wrapped cheddar stuffed jalapeños, American cheese, cheese sauce, lettuce, and shaved onion) for dad-themed deliciousness! Celebrate with the whole table with $20 bottles of wine! Beats provided by ZAW.

Between the pools, hot spring and cold plunge, water slide, yoga, live music, complimentary bike rentals, and their nostalgic “Summer Rewind” experience, there was always something to do. We never left the resort.

The highlight at their on-site restaurant, Epazote Kitchen & Cocktails, was the Pollo Con Rajas - perfectly cooked chicken over a rich creamed poblano, onion, and corn mestizaje. And if you’re at their Sundance Café for breakfast, get the pozole. It’s made from a family recipe that became such a guest favorite it earned a permanent spot on the menu.

Although El Conquistador licenses the Hilton brand, it’s owned and operated by a local company. The culinary team sources much of its meat and produce from Arizona.

Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway or just looking for an incredible dinner with Catalina Mountain views, this spot is worth adding to your list. 🌵🌞
