Dreaming of a tropical vacation? Yeah, so are we. Which is why we aren’t easily fooled by faux tropical promises. But, bring Dragoon Brewing, a luau at Playground Bar & Lounge with their sweet, central downtown location, and, ahem, a whole roasted hog into the mix, interests are piqued.
As if you haven’t already figured it out, Playground Bar & Lounge and Dragoon Brewing Co. have partnered up for a luau-themed party right here in Tucson. The festivities kick off Thursday, August 6, at 7pm.
And, of course, involving Dragoon means the pig is marinated for a full day in a special blend of spices and Dragoon IPA before slow roasting for eight hours. Plates of pork will be served at the event with elote, pineapple slaw and one additional side. For dessert, HUB’s vanilla ice cream will be scooped up alongside a tropical coconut pineapple cake with Dragoon’s Ojo Blanco braised pineapple.
The cost is $40 and seating is limited and filling up fast. Reservations are highly recommended.
