PY Steakhouse inside Casino Del Sol is always up to something, whether it be incorporating high-quality ingredients or hosting one-off dining experiences that’ll have you longing for another visit.
Coming up on Thursday, August 15, PY Steakhouse is hosting a three-course wine pairing dinner with LXV Wine at 5655 W. Valencia Rd. inside Casino Del Sol.

The dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. and welcomes Neeta Mittal, owner of LXV Wine, which is located in Paso Robles, California. The dinner includes three courses paired with three wines, three additional wine and cheese snacks, intermezzo, mignardise, and bread service.
So, in total, that’s six wines from LXV Wine!

- Paired with a 2021 Meso Cabernet Sauvignon Gateway Vineyard
- Ossau-Iraty Snack – Garam chai spice, Basco-Bearnaise sheep’s milk cheese
- Paired with a 2021 The Secret Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot/Cabernet Franc/Petit Verdot
- Beef Tenderloin – Smolder Notes raw spice rub, filet mignon, cauliflower hummus, tomato, radish
- Paired with a 2021 Meso Syrah Bien Nacido Vineyard
- Beecher’s Just Jack Snack – Turkish Shores spice, American cow’s milk cheese
- Paired with a 2021 The Tempo Cabernet Franc/Merlot
- Sorbet – The Jewel Sangiovese
- Roasted Carrot Tarte Tatin – Ryori Encanot spice granola, creme fraiche, onion, goat cheese

More about MattAt a very young age, Matt Sterner was gifted with the artistic ability to masterfully roll a burrito to the highest of standards, but the wrapped medley of delicious innards wasn’t his first love. Matt’s first true love was a combination of reading, writing, and creating. He grew up reading comics, the ingredients list of his shampoo and conditioner bottles, choose-your-own-adventure books, and the Scrabble dictionary — something he found useful when challenging his grandmother to a game.
He attended college at New Mexico State University and graduated with a degree in Digital Filmmaking. One of his favorite classes was screenwriting because he became responsible for the story’s birth before it came to life on-screen. After school, Matt took on numerous positions at a local television station in Tucson. From dealing out stories about heartbreak to producing “fluffier” content for a lifestyle broadcast, he learned what it takes to adapt to the many emotions the world of media can stir. Since 2017, Matt has dabbled in the culinary world of Tucson as well as San Diego, California from time to time.
