Mussels & Two Glasses of House Wine for $20 at Cafe a la C’Art

Mussels & Two Glasses of House Wine for $20 at Cafe a la C’Art

Feb 21, 20181 min read

If ever perfection existed in a food and wine pairing, mussels and a crisp white wine would be on the short list.

For a limited time you can indulge upon this pairing on one of Tucson’s greatest patios – and at one of Tucson’s hidden gems.

Whether you’re wrapping up a day at the Tucson Museum of Art or simply strolling around downtown, head over to Cafe a la C’Art for an order of mussels and a glass of either house red or white wine for both you and a guest.

The cafe’s mussels are served with caramelized leeks, pancetta, wine, garlic, a touch of cream, and ciabatta.

This deal is available nightly during dinner service (Wednesday through Sunday) and is available now through the end of April.

Cafe a la C’Art is located at 150 N. Main in the courtyard of the Tucson Museum of Art & Historic Block. For more information, including hours and menu, please visit cafealacarttucson.com.

IOU Sushi III has closed. The all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant on North Oracle Road announced the news on Facebook after about 10 years in Tucson. “This is the hardest post I’ve had to write,” the owners said. The post continued, “we have met some great friends who have become family to us.” Tucson Foodie first visited the restaurant in 2017, when it operated as IOU Sushi IV.

Anne Rysdale built @sheltercocktaillounge in 1961 with concrete walls, lava rock, and Cold War nerves. Today, owners Pam Santangelo and Kevin Breutzmann keep the Tucson bar exactly as regulars remember it. Inside, martinis share space with JFK memorabilia, a vintage atomic chandelier, and a suit of armor named Charlie. “Tucson is changing so much, but this has stayed the same. It’s a time capsule,” Santangelo said.
