This Valentine’s Day — Monday, February 14 — Presta Coffee Roasters is celebrating its tenth anniversary with new drinks, yummy bites, and prizes.
It’s been a decade for the coffee shop, which was once a coffee cart in the corner of a hospital. Since then it’s blossomed into three well-loved locations around Tucson, including its newest spot near Fourth Avenue on 501 E. Ninth St.

Owner and bicycle enthusiast, Curtis Zimmerman, purposely opened up each of the three locations in an area that’s convenient for cyclists to navigate to. However, no matter how you show up, Zimmerman is excited to reveal Presta’s new drinks.
“Bring a friend or a lover and come out to celebrate,” said Zimmerman.
On Valentine’s Day, they’ll be celebrating the anniversary with four new, seasonal drinks — all of which have been recently revealed, like the vibrant L’orangé.

New Menu Items
- L’orangé – orange and clove latte, served both hot or iced
- Le Pamplemousse— a grapefruit rosemary espresso tonic
- La Fleur— lavender, vanilla bean, and cocoa served with your choice of milk over ice or steamed
- Le Soleil— golden milk, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon sticks, nutmeg, peppercorns, cardamom, and brown sugar
Additionally, you can bet there’s going to be special treats from Holden’s Rise Above at all locations, and then pizza from the Ciao Down food truck at the Ninth Street location only from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Also, being that it’s Valentine’s Day, bouquets from Bloom Maven will be available to purchase at both the Ninth Street and First Avenue locations.
You can’t forget about the prizes either. All three locations will be doing raffles, meaning that for every bag purchased (in-store only) will get you entered to win Presta merchandise, brew equipment, or a bag of one of their very limited offerings.
Presta Coffee Roasters is located at 501 E. Ninth St., 2502 N. First Ave. #100, 100 S. Avenida del Convento #180. For more information, visit prestacoffee.com.

Matt Sterner
More about MattAt a very young age, Matt Sterner was gifted with the artistic ability to masterfully roll a burrito to the highest of standards, but the wrapped medley of delicious innards wasn’t his first love. Matt’s first true love was a combination of reading, writing, and creating. He grew up reading comics, the ingredients list of his shampoo and conditioner bottles, choose-your-own-adventure books, and the Scrabble dictionary — something he found useful when challenging his grandmother to a game.
He attended college at New Mexico State University and graduated with a degree in Digital Filmmaking. One of his favorite classes was screenwriting because he became responsible for the story’s birth before it came to life on-screen. After school, Matt took on numerous positions at a local television station in Tucson. From dealing out stories about heartbreak to producing “fluffier” content for a lifestyle broadcast, he learned what it takes to adapt to the many emotions the world of media can stir. Since 2017, Matt has dabbled in the culinary world of Tucson as well as San Diego, California from time to time.
If you’re in the mood for strange stories, head over to his pride and joy, wonkytimes.com. And in case you’re curious — yes, after all of this time, he still manages to roll a killer burrito.
