After months of anticipation, Trident Grill II is officially set to open at 2900 North Swan Road inside Plaza Palomino Tuesday, March 1.
Trident Grill opened 14 years ago at 2033 East Speedway Boulevard and has been Tucson’s resident East Coast sports bar ever since. Trident II will serve as an extension of the Speedway location, with the same menu blueprint and atmosphere.
The biggest change in the new location will simply be space. At 3,700-square-feet, Trident II will have the capacity to hold two and a half times as many guests as Trident I. The dining room and patio will comfortably seat over 200 guests, making Trident II an ideal solution for fans that want to enjoy game days outside the tightly-packed restaurants surrounding the University of Arizona.
The aforementioned patio, arriving right on time for Spring weather, will open up into the restaurant and welcome patrons that want to bring their dogs along.
According to General Manager Danny Gallego, the Trident team hopes to make the transition as smooth and comfortable as possible for fans of the original location, and plan to keep the same specials and happy hour deals in place.
However, there are a few changes that regulars and newcomers are sure to welcome. In addition to the new patio space, the bar menu is facing an upgrade. Trident II will offer wine from a few of their two dozen taps, and the overall draft, liquor and wine selection will have an emphasis on incorporating local brewers, distilleries and wineries.
Trident Grill invites the Tucson community to come celebrate the opening with them on March 1.
