OpenTable recently disclosed the nation’s most scenic restaurants, and Tucson’s locally owned Vivace made the cut.
Over the course of nearly a year, OpenTable, the leading provider of online restaurant reservations, searched through 5 million reviews of 20,000 restaurants. From there, the 100 Most Scenic Restaurants in America list was born.
“Whether they’re perched atop a city skyscraper or nestled on a mountainside, this year’s winning restaurants provide awe-inspiring views,” OpenTable Chief Dining Officer Caroline Potter said.
“A dining experience at any of these honorees is the most delicious way to get a true sense of place when vacationing or exploring your own hometown,” she said.
The list highlights restaurants from 34 states, so it’s a good reference for future traveling if a great view is important in your dining decision. But more importantly, the list also includes two Phoenix restaurants. Along with Vivace, Phoenix’s Different Pointe of View and The Patio at Las Sendas claimed a spot.
Vivace overlooks Tucson, which means views of the mountains and the city’s twinkling lights at night. But of course, nothing beats the Tucson sunset.
On a side note, if you’re not feeling like Vivace (or can’t get a reservation), Blanco Tacos Y Tequila, NoRTH, and Humble Pie are right up there, too.
Vivace is located at 6440 N. Campbell Avenue. For more information, visit vivacetucson.com. To read OpenTable’s full list, visit 100 Most Scenic Restaurants in America for 2016.
