East Tucson Pan-Asian restaurant Neo Malaysian Kitchen & Sushi, formerly known as Seri Melaka will close indefinitely as of Sunday, June 25.
The Neo Malaysian Kitchen & Sushi’s Facebook page announced the following:
We were privileged to have the opportunity of a life time – serving Tucson for 26 years. We have watched young children grow to adults who have brought their children to dine with us. What an honor to serve several three generation families. This part of our lives will end on June 25th, 2017. Thank you all for your kind support. Our restaurant children are grown and have flown the coop and so this chapter ends. Count down begins…6 days tomorrow. Nice again, thank you so much, from the bottom of our hearts, and we look forward to saying goodbye in the coming days. Adios, Old Pueblo.
The page also noted they won’t open another restaurant in Tucson, but will update anyone who keeps in touch if something new comes along.
Neo is currently Tucson’s only Malaysian restaurant, so don’t miss out on the chance to try signature dishes such as Nasi Lemak, Rendang Beef, and Nasi Goreng before they’re gone for good.
Neo Malaysian Kitchen & Sushi is located at 6133 E. Broadway Blvd. and can be reached at (520) 747-7811. For more information, visit neotucson.com or the Neo Malaysian Kitchen & Sushi’s Facebook page.
