This holiday season, Tucson Tamale Company is teaming up with local brewers for a series of beer and tamale pairings, from November 11 – December 13.

Tucson Tamale Company refines the traditional process of making tamales by adding various flavors and finishing it off with healthful ingredients to redefine the gourmet food item.

TTC tamales are also naturally gluten free and free of  lard, so plenty of vegetarian and vegan varieties are available.

Here’s how it works. For each scheduled pairing, swing by the brewery or tasting room, purchase a pint or a flight, and you’ll receive sample tamales that pairs perfectly with each beer.

Tamale Beer Pairing Schedule

November 11 – Catalina Brewing Company (4 – 7 p.m.)

• Green Corn and Cheese tamale
• Red Chile Beef tamale
• Green Chile Pork and Cheese tamale

December 7 – Tap & Bottle North (Noon – 3 p.m.) with beer from Barrio Brewing Co. and Sand-Reckoner Vineyards

December 13 – Tucson Hop Shop (6 – 8 p.m.)
