The wine flows like water up in Willcox, and a new addition to the area is in the works.
Carlson Creek Vineyard is hosting the groundbreaking of its newest expansion at 11 a.m. on Sunday, December 17.
The 12,000 square foot space will feature a tasting room, a wine library, a private meeting room, kitchen, and an indoor event area for wedding receptions.
“The winery has been a long time in the making, and we are thrilled to be able to unveil it in our company’s tenth year in business,” said co-owner and winemaker Robert Carlson III.
For nearly a decade, Carlson Creek has been one of the biggest family-owned vineyards in Arizona, but this will make it one the largest on-site wineries in the state.
If you’d like to taste their wine now, Carlson Creek’s current tasting room is located along the Willcox Wine Trail and open from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Thursday – Sunday at 115 Railview Ave., Willcox, AZ.
In addition to their Willcox addition, Carlson Creek recently opened a tasting room in Scottsdale at 4142 N. Marshall Way, Scottsdale, AZ.
When it’s all said and done, the new winery is expected to be completed by June 2018.
