[3:58 p.m., May 9 edit: the opening has been delayed from May 10; the new date is to be determined. Stay tuned for updates.]

Hawaiian restaurant Island Plate Lunch announced it will open its new location.

The space at 3699 N. Campbell Ave. will feature an expanded menu, Hawaiian soft serve ice cream, and a Hawaiian and Asian bakery.

Island Plate Lunch closed its original location at 5575 E. River Rd. on April 14:

Aloha all! With a lot of thinking and a heavy heart, we have decided to close our River and Craycroft location with this Sunday being our last day open there.
As you all know, we are a family business and consider everyone that walks into our doors as ohana as well. With this in mind we did not want to sacrifice any quality because we were running two locations with not enough people.
Thank you to everyone that has supported us at this location since we opened doors back in December 2016 and we hope to see everyone on [new date to be determined] at our new location on Prince and Campbell!
