Meatless Monday: Vegan Fried Chicken Sandwich at Lovin’ Spoonfuls

Meatless Monday: Vegan Fried Chicken Sandwich at Lovin’ Spoonfuls

Jul 22, 20191 min read

Local vegan restaurant Lovin’ Spoonfuls has served approachable vegan options since 2005.

While the menu features a wide range of classics such as Linguine + Meatballs and Cauliflower Wings, Lovin’ Spoonfuls also has a secret menu.

After peeking at their Instagram page, we found a crave-worthy secret menu item: the Vegan Fried Chicken Sandwich.

Vegan fried chicken is tossed in a spicy and tangy buffalo sauce with house-made vegan blue cheese, tempeh bacon, lettuce, tomato, and pickles on a locally baked bun.

We haven’t discovered the rest of their secret menu yet, but if you’re in the know, please let us know what to order next time.

Lovin’ Spoonfuls is located at 2990 N. Campbell Ave., Ste. 120. For more information, visit lovinspoonfuls.com.

Chilaquiles bring together crispy tortilla chips, salsa, eggs, and cheese in one skillet. Tucson cooks have made the dish their own, and each restaurant adds a different twist. Some go heavy on red or green sauce, others split the two, and many top the plate with a fried or poached egg. From a downtown café to a Marana staple, here are the best spots in town to order chilaquiles.
