The photo below is from last year’s offal dinner, but rest assured that this season’s multi-course meal will be just as creative. The past experiences have landed right on Halloween but this year’s Offal Dinner at PY Steakhouse is arriving earlier at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25.
The term offal refers to the organ meats of animals, which includes the heart, liver, tongue, kidney, brain, eyes, blood, etc. Offal is said to mean “off-fall”, or what is left after butchering. However, before refrigeration was common enough for everyone to own a fridge, these kinds of organs would have been eaten first before anything else.
So, if you’ve got the guts to taste the very creative offal meal at PY Steakhouse this year, expect to find edible items such as garum made with beef heart, foie gras buttercream in the Red Velvet Chocolate Cake, and “Popcorn” Pig’s Face.
A seat at the table is $150 per person and you’ll need to reserve your spot by emailing Jennifer Aspery at jennifer.aspery@casinodelsol.com. All four courses are also paired with a glass of wine.
PY Steakhouse is located inside Casino Del Sol at 5655 W. Valencia Rd. For more information, call (520) 324-9350 or visit casinodelsol.com. To make your reservations to the offal dinner, email jennifer.aspery@casinodelsol.com.
