From 7 – 10 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31, Blax Friday is hosting its monthly Soul Food Wednesdays market in downtown Tucson.
The local event has been popping up in different spots around town and this time they’re setting up inside the Proper Shops found at 300 E. Congress St. Blax Friday, a community organization that got its start in the summer of 2020, shines a light on Black-owned businesses throughout Arizona.
“We define ‘soul food’ as food that warms the soul, it’s multicultural and a celebration of life.” – Blax Friday
Some of the local and regional food options at this Wednesday’s event include Off the Hook Seafood, 28 Still Cooking on Wheels, Classic Custom Cakes and Treats, and Nosh Tucson (just to name a few).
The following Soul Food Wednesdays will be on Wednesday, August 30 at Playground so stay tuned for more information about that.
