Little Love Burger is Permanently Closing its Doors on Congress St.

June 16, 2023
By Matt Sterner

Nearly two years ago, Little Love Burger opened its doors to downtown eaters and beyond. Today, the burger joint announced that it’s permanently closing up shop and the last day will be Sunday, June 18.

The restaurant shared the following on Instagram:

“Tucson, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Sunday will be the last day to enjoy one of our mouthwatering burgers! After serving you with love for several years, we hand the keys to the sacred 312 E. Congress St. space to Gabriel and Vivian Moreno, of Jaime’s Pizza Kitchen. A multigenerational Tucson family business since 1989, Jaime’s Pizza Kitchen will be opening soon, serving amazing traditional pizza, wings, and salads.”

With that being said, Moreno has a long history of working in the local culinary scene. With the encouragement of his wife, Vivian; the help of longtime team member, Travis Holloway, who’s worked with him since the Italian Peasant days; “and my grandfather’s approval, of course,” Gabriel created Jaime’s Pizza Kitchen, a pizzeria with a catering component.

Stay tuned for more details on when Jaime’s Pizza Kitchen will take over the space and meanwhile, read our May 2023 article, “Family Ties & Craft Pies.”
