All Souls Procession & Day of the Dead Celebrations in Tucson

Known to most as the Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), the holiday is to celebrate and remember those we’ve lost while preparing special food to honor them.

Here in Tucson, there are a few food-focused events, dance parties, and more to attend — some happening sooner than others. So, pay attention to dates and start planning!

Chiles, Chocolates & Day of the Dead Festival

Friday, October 27 – Saturday, October 28
Tohono Chul, 366 N. Paseo del Norte

Experience the vibrant energy of the Fall season with dozens of food vendors, local craftspeople, and entertainers who fill the gardens with delicious bites, handmade delights, and lively melodies. There will be craft activities available for children as well as complimentary face painting for Día de los Muertos!

Tickets are $20 per person and $5 if you’re a Tohono Chul member.

The MSA Annex invites you to a weekend of public events, openings, and opportunities to deepen your connection to the community and lost loved ones.

All Souls Paint & Sip at Bawker Bawker Cider

Sunday, November 5 from 2 – 5 p.m.
405 E. Seventh St.

Delicious homemade quesadillas and house-brewed dry cider, local beer, and wine will be available for purchase during the painting lesson (21+ event). Instructor Emma will guide you throughout the three-hour lesson to help you recreate this Día de los Muertos/Day of the Dead-inspired All Souls painting. Sign up alone, or with family and friends for this special paint class.

Tickets are $45 per person, no experience is necessary, and all art supplies are provided, including a large 16″×20″ canvas which is yours to take home following the paint and sip.
