It’s always nice to see a good old-fashioned comeback story in the local food scene.
In December of last year, we broke the news that Mantis Gourmet Chinese Food was closing on Cortaro Road. The restaurant’s last day was the very last day of the year, but let’s get to the good news: Mantis Gourmet Chinese Food is returning and moving into a new location.
It’s not reopening too far away from the original location either — right across the street, actually, at 8295 N. Cortaro Rd. #125. This suite formerly housed Nico’s Tacos.
The prior location closed because the neighboring dental office had plans to knock down the dividing wall to expand.
There’s still no exact grand opening date but we’ll keep you in the loop once we find out.
Mantis Gourmet Chinese Food will soon open at 8295 N. Cortaro Rd. #125. For more information, follow Mantis on Facebook.
