Cheers! Slow Body Beer Co. is Now Open on 17th Street

A couple of weeks ago, Tucson’s newest brewery, Slow Body Beer Co., held a sneak peek at Tap & Bottle of what they’ve been brewing these past few months.

Today, you can enjoy one of their beers in their very own taproom!

“Think of it as a ‘petite’ opening if you will, before our big Grand Opening on Saturday.”

On Thursday, June 20, Slow Body Beer held a soft opening for its new space at 831 E. 17th St. They’re open Friday, June 21 as well from 3 – 9 p.m. and then a super official Grand Opening party on Saturday, June 22 from noon – 10 p.m.

Grand Opening Festivities

On Saturday, June 22, Slow Body Beer opens at noon, Ukies food truck will be serving from 1 – 4 p.m., Ensenada Street Food will take over from 5 – 10 p.m., and Rosebud Bakery Cake & Cheers will be selling their goods at 8 p.m.

“Come join us for a day of delicious beer, tasty food, and sunshine-y fun! We are so so SO excited to be able to share this space with all of you.”

Plus, there’s some entertainment!

Wooden Tooth Records will be blasting some tunes from 7 – 9:30 p.m. and the Slow Body Beer team will have games and giveaways all day.

Also, if you can’t stick around for the fun, Slow Body Beer is already selling its brews in cans.

  • Kind Beer – flagship pale ale (5% ABV)
  • Thank You – pale ale brewed with Nelson and Cirta (5.4% ABV)
  • Body Double – American porter (6% ABV)
  • Eliza – English bitter — balanced and toasty (3.8%)

After today (Friday, June 21), the taproom’s hours of operation will be 3 – 9 p.m. on Wednesday – Thursday, noon – 10 p.m. on Friday – Saturday, noon – 8 p.m. on Sunday, and closed on Monday.
