Twisted Indian at 1999 E. Ajo Way is the only Indian restaurant on Tucson’s south side —located inside a Chevron gas station, too.
It’s like finding a hidden treasure! This spot offers a menu identical to Indian Twist, its dining counterpart in midtown, but scaled down to suit its smaller kitchen. The restaurant is a family endeavor.
Jimmy Aujla owns Indian Twist, while his brother Ben Sihota and sister-in-law Manveen Sihota own the Chevron station.
On the menu, you’ll find classics like chicken tikka, butter chicken, samosas, garlic naan, and the Kadai Curry which is a personal favorite of Raj Sihota (Manveen’s son) — he’s in charge of all operations, from managing the restaurant to cooking the food. This dish is lighter and more vegetable-forward, featuring a gravy made from grilled onions rather than cream, and can be ordered with either paneer or chicken.
A couple of other favorites include the Twisted Wings and the Chana Masala. We’re confident you’ll enjoy whatever you decide to order.
Twisted Indian is a family-owned hidden gem serving up incredible dishes you don’t want to miss!
The restaurant is open 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Monday – Friday and noon – 8 p.m. on Saturday – Sunday.
