Star Wars Day (AKA May the Fourth) is the annual celebration of George Lucas’ Star Wars films, but you won’t need to travel to the dimly-lit Mos Eisley Cantina on Tatooine to get a good drink.
This year, a few local restaurants and bars are teaming up on the holiday to bring you Star Wars deals and space-themed parties on Sunday, May 4.
So, whether you’re an Ewok, a Wookiee, or just really, really hungry, you can expect to find themed environments, prizes, drink specials, and more.
At 2 p.m., the Casa Video crew is showing “The Phantom Menace.” Get there early for a good seat and sip on some of the many great craft beers they have in the fridges. Then, at 7 p.m., they’ll be screening the first three episodes of “Andor” while The Original Gino’s Cafe food truck serves food outside (they should be set up by 6 p.m.).
The Planetarium is hosting “Exploring the Worlds of Star Wars in Our Galaxy,” a live planetarium show that examines real planets resembling Star Wars worlds, connecting science with science fiction.
After the star talk, enjoy a laser show featuring two songs from the movies, choreographed to lasers. Wear a costume for a chance to win a family membership.
This presentation is only showing once on Sunday, May 4 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 to $26, depending on whether you’re a member and if you add science exhibits to your ticket.

From noon – 4 p.m., show up in your best costume and hang out for the following:
“This May the 4th, the Force will be with you at a special 45th anniversary presentation of The Empire Strikes Back — experience all the action, excitement, and AT-AT walkers on our giant movie screen, where they belong. Screens on Sunday, May 4 at 2 p.m., tickets on sale now!”
The Fourth Avenue burger joint is hosting drink specials all day, like the limited-time Grogu-rita for $8. Also, they’ll have games, prizes, costumes, and get 10% off your order over $25 with this code.
PieZanos is leading a flavorful charge on Sunday, May 4, partnering with neighboring Art and Sol Tattoo for an eight‑hour celebration that blends food, art, and family‑friendly fun.
The collaboration runs noon to 8 p.m. and spotlights PieZanos’ limited‑time, galaxy‑inspired menu — served up in the pop‑up “Zanos Cantina.” Next door, Art and Sol Tattoo rebrands for the day as “Tattooine,” offering a curated set of Star Wars-inspired flash tattoos starting at $66. Appointments can be booked in advance (call 520‑314‑7358), and walk‑ins will be accepted as time allows.
