Architects, engineers, and designers will transform canned goods into towering sculptures at Park Place Mall from June 29 to July 18, 2025. The annual Canstruction Tucson: Build for Hunger event combines creativity with community service to combat food insecurity in Southern Arizona.
Teams will construct “Cansculptures” using canned foods and non-perishable items, aligning with this year’s theme: Landmarks. Visitors can view these edible artworks during mall hours. After the exhibition, all food items will be donated to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
Attendees are encouraged to participate by voting for their favorite sculpture. Each donation equals one vote, with proceeds supporting hunger relief efforts. Voting is open throughout the exhibition at communityfoodbank.org/canstruction.
The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona relies on events like Canstruction to provide emergency groceries and fresh produce to those in need. Donations and volunteer support are crucial for their mission.
