Jessie Mance

Jessie Jean Mance was born in Tucson and never met a riparian area she didn’t like. She is a lover of lightning, sunsets, mezcal, music, and other intoxicating experiences. Mance resolutely believes that fresh air is medicine, burritos are the perfect food, and that people should say ‘I love you’ more. A lifelong passion for science and an insatiable desire to find the juice in random experiences are the threads that connect her journey. She is co-owner of Tucson Hop Shop and the mother of two amazing daughters. Mance is thrilled to be the beer writer for Tucson Foodie, and her writing aims to explore both the science that brings beer to life and the intangibles that bring magic to the beer drinking experience.
