Throughout the month of September, Eegee’s is honoring 50 years of chilling people out during the hot summer days. Now, they’re ready to share the celebration with those that have helped them achieve such an accomplishment.
Founded in 1971, the brand began as a vending truck, serving a frozen lemon drink — the “eegee” — at events in Tucson. It’s been five decades now and there are 29 locations across Arizona.
To celebrate, Eegee’s is offering anniversary promotions in-store, limited-time merchandise, and also exclusive events for Rewards members.
Plus, the restaurant shared the following about a couple of fan-favorites:
“Over the years, many of eegee’s menu items — from its rotating eegee flavors to its specialty French fries — have developed a loyal following. So, for a flavor blast from the past, the restaurant brand will bring back two fan-favorite eegee’s flavors: Galactic Grape, available September 1 – 15, and another surprise flavor from the eegee’s vault for the second half of the month.”
Additionally, Eegee’s is offering food and drink specials, too.
You’ll snag yourself an Eegee’s scratcher with purchase and prizes include a free catering package, free food for a year, $1 off meals, or a free small Eegee with purchase of a Specialty French Fry and Eegee. On top of that, there are double rewards points on Monday throughout the month of September for guests who scan their Rewards app at checkout.
Weekly social media giveaways for gift cards and merchandise can also be expected, and they’re releasing a special edition t-shirt and stickers featuring its retro anniversary designs.
Oh, and the restaurant has created ing a holiday for itself — National Eegee’s Day. It’s naming September 18 the holiday and they’ve already announced National Eegee’s Day festivities.
On Saturday, September 18, the restaurant is partnering with Pepsi for a concert celebration — Vibees Live —inspired by Eegee’s monthly vibees collaborations with local musicians. It’s going to be hosted at HighWire in downtown Tucson will feature four live performances and a DJ set.
Those attending the concert can pick up some new Eegee’s swag and take part in the “teekee bar” that’s serving cocktails made with Eegee’s, of course. Tickets will be given away to certain Rewards members and will be offered as a prize on select Eegee’s scratchers.
