Wow, our Things to Do section is growing like a weed.

We’ve got some high-ly anticipated foodie events happening this week such as the High in The Desert event, Tucson’s very first cannabis consumption event. To be blunt, we really encourage you to check it out, if you’re into that stuff.

Otherwise, toke it easy and read on! There’s a lot of pot-ential in this week’s foodie happenings.

Thursday, April 20 from 2:30 – 10 p.m.
MSA Annex, 267 S. Avenida del Convento

You’re ganja have a good time.

Tucson’s first cannabis consumption festival is sparking up this 420 at the MSA Annex concert grounds. The synergy between weed, music, and food will come together for a full day of celebration. The music lineup is a mixture of local and regional reggae and hip-hop artists and DJs.

Explore the many sides of cannabis with more samples than you can imagine and get to know the growers and industry brands from our region and beyond.

Tickets can be purchased here. The first 1,000 entrants will receive edibles with their admission.

Tucson Foodie Presents: Batch’s Master Maxology Cocktail Class

Sunday, April 23 from 2 – 4 p.m.
Batch, 118 E. Congress St.

UPDATE: Just one ticket left! Master the art of cocktail making with a two-hour class led by mixologist extraordinaire, Max Wingert. You’ll get a chance to learn and craft four classic cocktails while elevating your stirring and shaking techniques, flavor combinations, bar tool techniques, and more.

Noche de Garibaldi celebrates the music and dance of this year’s Tucson International Mariachi Conference. Students perform while you enjoy an evening of food and fun. Please join and help celebrate the amazing talent of the 2023 Tucson International Mariachi Conference attendees!

ARIZONA WINE WALK

Saturday, April 22 from 3 – 10 p.m.
Westbound, 267 S. Avenida del Convento, #12

The 2nd annual Arizona Wine Walk takes place at Westbound this Saturday. Sample 15 Arizona wines from Callaghan Vineyards, Merkin Vineyards, Caduceus Cellars, Sand-Reckoner, Dos Cabezas, Los Milics, Rune, Brigand, Page Springs Cellars, Deep Sky, & Bodega Pierce!

There is a 2 and a 4 p.m. timed entry in addition to an optional one-hour Masterclass and guided wine tasting hosted by Kent Callaghan of Callaghan Vineyards and Jesse Noble, Vineyard Manager of Caduceus Cellars and Merkin Vineyards.

TEA CEREMONY AT YUME JAPANESE GARDENS

Sunday, April 23 from 1 – 3:15 p.m.
Yume Japanese Gardens of Tucson, 2130 N. Alvernon Way

The Japanese tea ceremony, or chanoyu (translated literally as “hot water for tea”), is a cherished ritual involving the preparation and presentation of powdered green tea in a highly stylized manner.

Learn how tea has been prepared, served, and enjoyed in Japan since the 12th century. There are 2 time slots available: 1:30 and 2:30 p.m.

ARGENTINA HEART & SOUL

It’s time for the 17th Annual Argentina Heart & Soul Wine Tasting Event at Hacienda Del Sol Guest Ranch! Join for a memorable evening featuring 24 varietals of Argentinian wine, a regionally-inspired buffet, and live music by Zona Libre.

Penelope Woodfired is back at it again with a pasta pop-up. Chef Jared Schwartz and Chef Morgan will be serving up pasta magic. We 100% recommend following Penelope Wood Fired on social media to stay up-to-date on the menu.

The lines go out of the door for these so make sure you get there early to secure your favorite dishes!

AFRICAN WINE DINNER FEATURING GEORGE WINE SHOP
