This weekend is set to be a flurry of activity between the giant sporting event on Sunday followed by Valentine’s Day.

We’ve also got alternate plans listed in our Event Directory. Did you know Comida Park is opening this weekend? Now you do. SAACA is also hosting its Cruise, Blues, and BBQ Festival at the Oro Valley Marketplace on Saturday. Antsy Nancy is hosting three cooking classes this week: Valentine’s Cookies with royal icing, How to make tamales, and an impressive How to make Gordon Ramsay’s Beef Wellington on Valentine’s Day.

COMIDA PARK: GRAND OPENING WEEKEND

Come enjoy local food trucks, live music, beer, face painting, yard games, radio remotes, and a Big Game watch party on Sunday, February 12.

Cost: Admission is $1 per person when the Swap Meet is open (Friday – Saturday). Admission is free Sunday – Thursday. The food truck park will be open seven days a week.

Once the secret ingredient is revealed, both chefs will race against the clock to create dishes judged on taste, creativity, and presentation. 

The event begins with the Culinary Experience from 1 to 4 p.m., featuring three hours of food and drink sampling, cooking demos, and classes, followed by the live Iron Chef Competition from 5 to 8 p.m. This is a 21+ event.
