As the temperatures continue to climb, so does the desire for air-conditioned events. We get it. Without further ado, here’s this week’s event suggestions that won’t break a sweat.

Hooray for cold food in this heat!

This class will teach you how to make perfect sushi rice and once you’ve mastered that, you’ll be well on your way to creating several uramaki rolls. Make your own California, Spicy Tuna, Seattle, and Philadelphia rolls. Each student will have hands-on experience filling and rolling sushi on a bamboo mat, and then slicing it into perfect sushi rolls.

‘KEEP TUCSON VINYL’ AT THE DELTA

Thursday, June 23 at 8 p.m.
WEEKLY DJ SETS EVERY THURSDAY

If you haven’t heard, someone attempted to start a fire at The Delta earlier this week. They could use your support now more than ever as they suffered damages.

Every Thursday, DJs (who are owners of local vinyl stores) will be taking turns spinning records at The Delta. There’s no specific genre, just cool vintage vinyl jams, and the funky sounds will be paired with local drafts, wine, and spirits. Oh, and make sure to drink local because they’ll be offering half-off deals on all local/regional alcohol.

Chilaquiles bring together crispy tortilla chips, salsa, eggs, and cheese in one skillet. Tucson cooks have made the dish their own, and each restaurant adds a different twist. Some go heavy on red or green sauce, others split the two, and many top the plate with a fried or poached egg. From a downtown café to a Marana staple, here are the best spots in town to order chilaquiles.
