TUCSON CHINESE CHORIZO FESTIVAL

Thursday, November 3 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Forbes Meat Company, 220 E. Broadway Blvd.

Surprise, there’s more! An encore of chorizo, if you will. Forbes Meat Co. is doing a surprise special: Pork and Mushroom Dumplings (with noodles!)

Available this Thursday from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., it’s served “by the dumpling” at $2 per dumpling with Chinese chorizo mushroom noodles (pictured above) for $14. There’s a vegan option, too, with noodles only and the vegan mushroom chorizo for $8.

FESTIVAL DIA DE LOS MUERTOS

The Dia de los Muertos festival will be hosted by TV Azteca’s Leticia Ortiz! There will be entertainment such as traditional dancing, live music, fashion shows, and much more.

Tunes Under the Moon is an annual Fall music festival designed and organized by teens in the 4-H Healthy Living Ambassador Program at Tucson Village Farm. Come out and enjoy great live music, watch the moon rise over the mountains, while eating delicious farm fresh food!

Beer Yoga Events

The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck is celebrating another successful road trip so far — it’s the eighth year, to be exact. In previous years, the truck rolled out bites like its Signature Macaron Set (if you can get past the cuteness you’ll gladly chomp ’em down) and Hand-Decorated Cookies Sets, Madeleine Cookie Sets, and Giant Hello Kitty Cafe Chef Cookies. There’ll be plenty of inedible options too like collectibles and such.

José Contreras, chef and owner of @Ameliastucson, is headed to New York City to cook alongside chef Alam Méndez of Washington, D.C.‘s Apapacho Taqueria for a collaborative dinner at the James Beard Foundation’s Platform at Pier 57.

The Aug. 11 dinner will celebrate the culinary traditions of Sonora and Oaxaca through a multi course menu centered on heirloom corn, traditional masa, and coastal flavors.
