Mexican seafood restaurant La Perla Del Pacifico hosted the Tucson Foodie team to a preview of their newly launched breakfast menu. The restaurant located at 5601 E. 22nd St. offers their breakfast 7-11 a.m. daily.
Please note that some of these dishes were plated in smaller portions than what is standard from their menu so that we were able to taste a variety of dishes.
Menu Highlights

A Mexican take on avocado toast, adorned with cheese and salsa macha on buttery Mexican bread. Choose from steak or chorizo.

A mariscos take on a Tucson brunch staple, this version of huevos rancheros has shrimp. While shrimp for breakfast sounds unusual, think of Southern grits with shrimp and eggs; but replace the grits with a crunchy tostada and top it off with a bright salsa.

Bean aficionados will gravitate towards the enfrijoladas with chorizo. They buy the tortillas from a staff member’s mom.

A Mexico City classic, this torta sandwiches a chicken cutlet and lush chilaquiles. The menu version is about triple the size of the one pictured above.

Smoothies come in two flavors: berries or banana & chocolate.
Other menu options include classic chilaquiles, a plato de machaca, omelets, burritos paseados, and the “All-American Breakfast” with 2 eggs, bacon or sausage, hash browns or potatoes, toast, and two pancakes.
