Shamrocks & Shenanigans: St. Patrick’s Day 2023 festivities in Tucson

Tucson is gearing up for fun-filled St. Patrick’s Day celebrations with 15+ exciting events all around town.

Local breweries are releasing seasonal beers, including glitter beer, to get you in the festive mood, while live music performances add to the lively atmosphere. Many places will also be serving the classic St. Patrick’s Day dish of corned beef and cabbage alongside drink specials.

The following events are happening on Friday, March 17 unless otherwise noted.

Hotel Congress

Hotel Congress, 311 E. Congress St.
Beginning at 2 p.m.

Hotel Congress, in conjunction with the Prime Leaf, is hosting a St.Patrick’s Day Party. There will be live music on 2 stages, Irish food specials, $6 Guinness cans, $5 Jameson, and $3 green beer!

There will be a $5 cover after 6 p.m.

Beginning at noon

Join us to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! Caps & Corks will have green beer and Guinness pints all day for $4 all day.

Superstition Meadery will be in-house beginning at 5 p.m. for free mead tasting. Live music with Flatlander Jim will begin at 6 p.m. Family Joint Pizzeria will be serving up pizzas with sweets by Kim’s Confections.

Spend your St. Patrick’s Day evening with Painting & Vino Tucson and Hotel McCoy! Instructor Emma will guide you throughout the entire paint and sip to help you recreate this 10×10” wood panel painting. Your wood panel comes complete with a twine handle for easy transport and display.

Local beer, wine, coffee and $4 tamales from Tucson Tamale Company will be available for purchase, and you’re welcome to bring your own treats as well. Tran’s Fats Food Truck will be parked outside the paint and wine event with delicious bites and entrees also available for purchase. This event will be held indoors in the event area adjacent to the lobby to provide a comfortable environment for guests.

No experience is necessary and all art supplies are provided, including your rustic 10×10” wood panel.

The Aug. 11 dinner will celebrate the culinary traditions of Sonora and Oaxaca through a multi course menu centered on heirloom corn, traditional masa, and coastal flavors.
