Sonoran Wines and Sand-Reckoner Vineyards recently announced their collaboration project — the inaugural Terroir Troubadours event. It’s going to be an evening of enchanting storytelling blending wine, music, and dance.
Terroir Troubadours is happening from 4 – 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 16 at 191 Toole.
“Guests are invited to embark on a spellbinding journey where they can escape into the night for an alluring adventure of cafe jazz, bodacious burlesque, epic stories, and interactive wine experiences.”
The event is hosted by the chanteuse Lola Torch, renowned for her magnetic stage presence, and features the unique sweet soulful sounds of the Rosano Brothers. There’s going to be burlesque performances by Lola Torch, Vera Morphosis, and Ms. Midnight, with wines poured by Sand-Reckoner and Sonoran Wines.
Throughout the evening, guests will also have the opportunity to engage with a Vinoteller, a wine expert with an ethereal twist, and explore their fortunes with Tarot readings — adding an extra layer of mystique to the festivities.
“This event is a celebration of the rich tapestry of storytelling through wine, music, and dance,” said Sarah Fox, owner and COO of Sand-Reckoner Vineyards. “We invite guests to join us for an unforgettable evening of indulgence and entertainment, where they can revel in the magic of live performances and interactive wine experiences — this is an event for one and all!”
Tickets are available for purchase for $25 to $30 each.
Your ticket includes six wine-tasting vouchers and access to all performances.
“We are excited to partner with Sand-Reckoner Vineyards and bring together our passion for the wines that come from the unique terroir of Southeastern Arizona with the vibrant arts community in Tucson,” said Lisa Wagenheim, owner/manager of Sonoran Wines. “The Terroir Troubadours event is a celebration of creativity and collaboration, and we look forward to welcoming guests
to this extraordinary event.”
The event is taking place at 191 Toole (191 E. Toole Ave.). For more information and to purchase tickets, visit rialtotheatre.com.

Matt Sterner
More about MattAt a very young age, Matt Sterner was gifted with the artistic ability to masterfully roll a burrito to the highest of standards, but the wrapped medley of delicious innards wasn’t his first love. Matt’s first true love was a combination of reading, writing, and creating. He grew up reading comics, the ingredients list of his shampoo and conditioner bottles, choose-your-own-adventure books, and the Scrabble dictionary — something he found useful when challenging his grandmother to a game.
He attended college at New Mexico State University and graduated with a degree in Digital Filmmaking. One of his favorite classes was screenwriting because he became responsible for the story’s birth before it came to life on-screen. After school, Matt took on numerous positions at a local television station in Tucson. From dealing out stories about heartbreak to producing “fluffier” content for a lifestyle broadcast, he learned what it takes to adapt to the many emotions the world of media can stir. Since 2017, Matt has dabbled in the culinary world of Tucson as well as San Diego, California from time to time.
If you’re in the mood for strange stories, head over to his pride and joy, wonkytimes.com. And in case you’re curious — yes, after all of this time, he still manages to roll a killer burrito.
