OKTOBERFEST EVENTS IN TUCSON

You don’t have to travel more than 5,000 miles to enjoy the beer and bratwurst-laden festivities this year. As a matter of fact, many breweries and taprooms around town are bringing the Bavarian culture to Tucson along with flowing pints of beer and fun. It’s definitely not the wurst way to spend a day unless you’re planning on downing some brats. This round-up will have you enjoying the beer necessities in no time.

FOOD FOR PEOPLE’S PETS
Thursday, September 21 from 9 a.m. – noon

When times are tough, having a pet can become even more difficult. The Hermitage offers pet food and supply assistance for low-income families to promote pet retention and keep family pets in their homes. Food For People’s Pets Pantry is open the 3rd Thursday of each month from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. We’ll have food, litter, treats, toys, and occasionally beds, collars, and bowls. Use the alley behind the shelter (off Magnolia). Don’t rehome your pet if you don’t really have to.
SEPTEMBER SIPPING SESSIONS AT TAB & BOTTLE NORTH

During their tastings, you’ll have the chance to explore a variety of spirits, and we’re excited to offer some rare bottles for sale (find them listed under each tasting description)! They’ll be hosting a raffle opportunity for a chance to purchase them. Keep an eye out, as additional rare bottles will be added to the list throughout the month.
INDIGENOUS NIGHT MARKET

The Coalition is teaming up with Josie Rios (Beads Over Diamonds) to plan a one-night market featuring Indigenous artists, makers, and resources on Friday, September 22 from 7 – 10 p.m. All vendors will be inside the coalition space, with entertainment and food offerings in the parking lot.
WATERSHED MANAGEMENT GROUP’S 20TH ANNIVERSARY
Saturday, September 23 from 6 – 10 p.m.

Engage your body and nourish your soul with art making, basin creating, creek hopping, and hydro-local living — all while enjoying the sights and sounds of the borderlands. Everyone is invited to this party, with activities for all ages, and no cover.

Celebrate the start of the fall with live music, food and beverages, guest speakers, and a silent auction featuring local arts and goods!
KON TIKI’S 60TH ANNIVERSARY

There is going to be a $10 cover at the door (cash only) and they’ll have an exclusive cocktail and food menu (TBD), new Kon Tiki mugs and merchandise, music curated by DJ Han Cholo, and a vintage clothing and art sale featuring multiple vendors. The vendors include James Owens Art, Clever Vintage Clothing, The Witchdoctor’s Den, Winkwell, Bunny’s Treasure Chest, Kahuna Collective, and The Sonoran Siren.
PORK SCHNITZEL COOKING CLASS WITH FLYING APRONS
