Tucson Coffee Cricket will close its cafe inside 5151 E. Broadway Blvd. on July 31, 2025. The local shop announced the news via social media and invited guests to visit before the final day.

“We have loved serving you and want to continue doing so for the next few weeks,” the announcement stated. “Come get your favorites before we close!”

Customers visited the café for ube lattes, desert mochas, and matcha drinks since its opening. Other favorites include the honey lavender latte, lemonade, and the espresso frappe.

The shop, known for its inventive drink menu and welcoming vibe, serves guests Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Located in the lobby of a commercial office building, Tucson Coffee Cricket cultivated a loyal following. Office workers and locals alike appreciated the quick service and friendly atmosphere.

@Talegacoffee at 177 N. Church Ave. transforms into @_Velvetcowboy after 4 pm, bringing cocktails, tapas, disco lights, and a lively bar atmosphere to the same space. The dual concept comes from the team behind Talega Coffee Co., with coffee and scratch-made breakfast and lunch served during the day, followed by happy hour and bar service at night.

Velvet Cowboy’s grand opening is Oct. 16, with upcoming events including drag brunches, DJs, and live music.🪩

“Opening this place feels a little surreal. To now have a space where we can bring together coffee, food, art, booze, and all the weird things we love feels like a reflection of how far we’ve come.” —Tyler Melo
