Tucson Craft Beer Crawl returns downtown on February 25

Jan 25, 20236 min read

Downtown Tucson will soon be “crawling” with Arizona craft brewers and beer lovers for the annual Tucson Craft Beer Crawl (TCBC) from 1 – 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 25.

Newly produced by the Tucson Foodie team, the finale event for Arizona Beer Week will expand with over 25 brewers and 10 venues, aiming to raise funds for the non-profit organization Watershed Management Group.

There are two levels of tickets for the crawl.

The General Admission ticket ($50) includes 30 drink tickets, a commemorative tasting glass, and access to all venues along the route. A VIP ticket ($75) sponsored by Love Block Partners, includes everything in the General Admission ticket, as well as early check-in, exclusive access to Sierra Nevada brews, a VIP venue at Playground with complimentary hors d’oeuvres, and 10 extra drink tickets.

As mentioned earlier, a portion of proceeds will go toward Watershed Management Group (WMG) to raise money for its River Run Network, which works to restore the heritage of year-round, free-flowing rivers in Southern Arizona.

“Water is essential to our most favorite things, from craft beer to fresh local food to our gorgeous Sonoran Desert,” said Lisa Shipek, Executive Director of WMG. “We’re honored to receive proceeds from the event to support our work to restore year-round flow to Sabino and Tanque Verde Creeks.”

Over the past three years, the Tucson Craft Beer Crawl has raised over $25,000 for WMG and this year’s goal is to raise an additional $10,000.

The Tucson Craft Beer Crawl is in full force from 1 – 5 p.m. but there’s an after-party at MotoSonora Brewing Company to celebrate their grand opening. The brewery originally had its grand opening planned for mid-March 2020 but, at the time, the pandemic shut down dine-in service for all bars and restaurants. So, safely head on over after you’ve crawled around downtown and show them some love.

Pre-TCBC Beer release party

Additionally, Thunder Canyon Brewery is hosting a beer release party for the new Dragoon Brewing Company and Buqui Bichi Brewing collaboration. This is happening the Wednesday, February 22 (just a few days before the crawl) at 220 E. Broadway Blvd.

Thunder Canyon Brewery is also a Tucson Craft Beer Crawl venue/destination.

Opened in 2023, @kabulcorner is Tucson’s only Afghan restaurant, created to provide jobs, community, and a taste of home for Afghan families who made Tucson their new home.

Today, Sediq Haidari and his family serve traditional Afghan dishes like bolani, mantou, Kabuli palaw, fresh tandoori naan, and house-made chaka, while preserving recipes and traditions rooted in Afghanistan’s rich history.

With its warm hospitality, authentic food, and strong sense of community, Kabul Corner has become a little piece of home in the Sonoran Desert. ❤️

“These dishes are famous not only in Afghanistan, but in neighboring countries like Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Iran, and even parts of China. It sits right between Indian and Arabic food.” Sediq Haidari
