Copper Mine Brewing Company, another addition to Tucson’s growing craft beer scene, will open its doors to the public this Saturday, February 25, at noon. The brewery is located at 3455 S. Palo Verde Rd.
“We like this area,” said Jeff Kaber, who owns Copper Mine with Jeremy Pye. “It’s county, so there’s less regulation for permits, it’s off a major road, and with the other breweries in the area, it’s a brewer community venture.”
The interior features copper-orange painted walls, a wood wall hand-crafted from torched pallet wood, and warm moody lights hanging from the ceiling.
Tables are made from reclaimed spindles that were also torched, sanded smooth, then topped with epoxy.
The grand opening will feature six beers. Those beers include a copper ale, imperial brown ale, blue agave hibiscus blonde ale, pale ale, Irish red ale, and another beer similar to a pale ale that has yet to be named. Eventually, all ten taps will be utilized.
Food trucks Haus of Brats and Gigi’s Fusion will be on site serving German and Mexican-Peruvian fusion cuisine, respectfully.
