Emerald 29
Emerald 29 is a hidden speakeasy tucked beneath The Treasury 1929, a historic 1929 bank building at 2 E. Congress St. in downtown Tucson. The 80-seat lounge opens when a green light glows from the Congress Street entrance, Thursday through Saturday from 8 p.m. to midnight. Deep emerald walls, secret alcoves, sultry banquettes, and a restored vault set the mood. The cocktail program leans into Southern Arizona, with Sonoran Desert-inspired drinks like the tajín-rimmed Sandia Fria and the mezcal-forward Seaport. A thoughtful zero-proof menu and small bites round out the experience. Chef Daniel Scordato, the longtime force behind Vivace, created the lounge as a place that "rewards the people who find it."
