Tortillas Chiwas opened inside the former Grande Tortilla Factory building. Phoenix-based restaurateurs Armando Hernandez and chef Nadia Holguin, James Beard Award nominees originally from Chihuahua, Mexico, lead the 38-seat restaurant. The team mills nixtamal on-site for hand-pressed tortillas. The roughly 15-item menu draws from dishes served across the couple's other restaurants, including Cocina Chiwas and Espiritu Cocktails + Comida. They source seafood from Nelson's Meat + Fish.

@Lovinspoonfulstucson is closing after more than 20 years in Tucson. Its final day of service runs on Saturday, Oct. 24. Customers can stop in between now and Saturday for one last meal. The team plans to sell down its inventory, though it hopes to have favorite dishes available.
