Pickup, Delivery & Grab 'N Go options are available

It’s been a year full of changes. People have been eating out less, ordering in more, and making some alterations to their diets — hopefully for the better.

Although, not everyone has the skills or the time to whip up a meal that’s nutritional enough to keep them satisfied. This is where AZ Fit Kitchen comes into play — a local meal prep service that’s offering pickup, delivery, and “Grab ‘N Go” meals.

AZ Fit Kitchen’s menu switches up every week with vegetarian, keto, gluten-free, and more traditional options for either breakfast, lunch, or dinner —you name it.

However, making the meals isn’t the only thing owner Robb Walker is focused on. It’s your health and wellness, too.

“People are understanding what the impact a healthy diet has on your actual immune system,” said Walker. “So now we’re seeing people being more thoughtful, and they seem to be more willing. A healthy immune system has a better ability to fight off viruses, regardless of which virus. I see people more plugged into that than I have in the past.”

Essentially, Walker and his team take the work, stress, and effort of grocery shopping, measuring, and preparing if the customer is familiar with proper meal prep.

If someone isn’t familiar with meal prep or where to even begin, they’ll explain how it works and assist you in picking the meals, while giving you an understanding of how macronutrients can better your immune system.

“It’s the big picture at a high level,” said Walker. “Macros are typically defined as calories, protein, carbs, and fats. So, if you understand that then meal prepping is taking those numbers and spreading them across a designated number of meals.”

Right now, AZ Fit Kitchen is offering meals you can order ahead of time for pickup and delivery or some dishes that already prepared as “Grab ‘N Go” meals.

Pickup and Delivery Dates and Times

  • Order from the menu by Tuesday or Friday at noon
  • Pick up your meals on Wednesday or Saturday starting at 3 p.m.
  • Deliveries are on Wednesday or Saturday from 3 – 7 p.m.

Grab ‘N Go Meal Locations

  • Tucson Tamale, 7159 E. Tanque Verde Rd., Monday – Sunday, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Tucson Tamale, 7286 N. Oracle Rd., Monday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Rock Solid Climbing, 3949 W. Costco Dr., Monday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.

The menu may appear to be “sold out” a couple of times a week, but that only means they’re preparing more meals to be added to the site.

So, we’ve been told about the macronutrients, but what about the micronutrients? I’m sure some are wondering the same thing, right? Well, handmade cold-pressed juices can be found on the menu, too.

“It’s something I’ve been passionate about for a while,” said Walker. “Our meals take care of the ‘macro’ side and then our juices do an incredible job of taking care of the micronutrients, ensuring people get their vitamins. Eating fruits and vegetables is kind of a struggle for Americans in general, so we’ve launched that recently and will really be pushing to grow that just as a supplement — an all-natural supplement if you will — to what we already do.”
