Westside noodle joint Maru Japanese Noodle Shop has launched its new cold ramen bowls for summer 2021.
This year, they decided to mix things up with the protein options and noodle variety. While in the past, Maru’s cold noodle bowls featured a charshoo pork, this year, the three options include baked tofu, roast chicken, and poke.
All of the new ramen bowls also feature kale noodles, which give the noodles a green hue. It’s also vegetarian. Maru’s summer noodle bowls also all include cucumber, edamame, tomato, mango, seaweed salad, and sesame seeds.
The new cold noodle bowls also include a Japanese soy dressing. Just be sure to go hungry as the bowls are a sizable portion.
If you’re not in the mood for something cold, Maru’s regular menu is still available, which features a variety of hot ramen and udon noodle bowls. In fact, their creamy vegetarian ramen is probably the best veggie ramen in town.
The restaurant also features various add-ons for your dishes (kind of like a Japanese version of a salsa bar) and a full drink menu.
Maru Japanese Noodle Shop is located at 1370 N. Silverbell Rd., Ste. 180 and open daily from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. For more information, including full menu, visit marunoodle.com. Or, find Maru Noodle Shop on Instagram.
