July 31, 2023
By Matt Sterner

Spice up your summer nights and cool off with a drink alongside fellow foodies as Tucson Foodie teams up with Barbata, Tough Luck Club, and Fentonelli’s Pizzeria & Bar for a Summer Cocktail Hour Series! That’s right, it’s the beginning of a brand-new and limited-time series that begins on Wednesday, August 9 from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Unwind and revel in a monthly extravaganza featuring the best of locally crafted cocktails and the company of great people. Plus, the Cocktail Hour is free for all to attend — no cover at the door.

Cocktail Hour Special

If you’re a Tucson Foodie Passport Member or a Tucson Foodie Insider, enjoy a complimentary Tucson Foodie-branded cocktail on the house/Barbata. All you need to do is find the Barbata voucher in the Tucson Foodie app and present it to your bartender.

If you haven’t joined the community just yet — it’s no biggie — be sure to mention Tucson Foodie and you’ll get $1 off your first drink.

The 1,000-square-foot underground cocktail bar opened in November 2022, becoming one of downtown Tucson’s most popular sanctuaries for sipping on craft cocktails while snacking on BATA’s intriguing bites. According to chef Tyler Fenton, Barbata draws inspiration from what he calls “the European drinking culture, which is fun and casual, but with a focus on high-quality and approachable food and beverages.”

As mentioned earlier, come on by Barbata between 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 9 for drinks and great conversations. Also, if you can’t make it to this Cocktail Hour, there are two more happening in September and October at Tough Luck Club and Fentonelli’s Pizzeria & Bar.

Barbata is located at 35 E. Toole Ave. For more information, visit batatucson.com.
