Teresa’s Mosaic Café, located near Silverbell Road and Ironwood Hill Drive, reopened its doors to the public on Wednesday, January 3. Back in October of 2022, the restaurant temporarily closed for renovations after a fire broke out in the attic space.
Therefore, everything has been cleaned up, refurbished, and put back into tip-top shape at 2456 N. Silver Mosaic Dr. It’s always inspiring to find out that a restaurant — one that’s been open for about 40 years now — stays in business and rides the wave when the unexpected happens.
“After more than a year, Teresa’s Mosaic is excited to welcome you back into our newly renovated restaurant,” the family shared online. “We are grateful for your continued patience.”
This is considered a soft reopening and there will soon be an official grand reopening shortly. Meanwhile, seating may be limited these first couple of weeks since they’re training staff and getting back in the groove.
They were able to keep a few of the original tables that made it out of the fire, but many of the detail-oriented features like the “party room” are new. However, the long-standing family restaurant still showcases some of the family’s favorite recipes including their huevos rancheros. Speaking of which, the popular dish was even featured in an episode of “Throwdown with Bobby Flay.”
The current hours of operation are 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. daily.
