Sonoran House, a new coffee shop and retail space, is opening soon at 1610 N. Tucson Blvd.

The space, which used to be a Mayfield Florist, is currently undergoing some renovations that are estimated to be completed by late July or early August.

Founders Arianna Wilson and Courtney Bedient are excited about opening a new community hub. They’re also the brains behind Cactus Wren Kids — an online store for parents that offers clothing for kids.

The new 1,000-square-foot space near the corner of Tucson Boulevard and Elm Street will serve coffee, tea, and locally baked pastries. They’re actually roasting their own coffee, too, and actively seeking local vendors. Head over to their website if you’d like to be involved with the new shop.

The vision behind Sonoran House is to offer a cozy and welcoming environment where customers can relax, read, and socialize. Comfortable seating areas will be provided, enhancing the shop’s atmosphere and making it an ideal spot for both solo visitors and groups.

The shop will also feature a retail section showcasing handmade items from local artisans, including pottery, jewelry, and soaps.

They are also in the process of hiring staff and are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join their team. You can apply online.

The opening of Sonoran House reflects a growing trend in Tucson’s landscape, where the blending of coffee culture with local retail creates vibrant and community-focused spaces. This approach not only attracts a diverse clientele but also fosters a sense of local pride and connection.

Stay tuned for a list of local vendors found in the shop and also an exact opening date, but we can expect more information by late July/early August.

Sonoran House is located at 1610 N. Tucson Blvd. For more information and to keep up with the latest, follow Sonoran House on Instagram.
