Sports Bars in Tucson: Beer, Bites & Plenty of TVs

Updated March 12, 2025

Nothing says “sports” like being surrounded by multiple televisions, eating fried food, hearing hoots and hollers from people nearby, drinking cold beer, and then getting the food and beer stains out of your shirt the following day.

Here’s a list of locally owned and operated sports bars in the Old Pueblo to catch the game and grab a drink with pub fare.

Barrio Brewing Co.

Located just south of downtown and across the street from the train tracks, Barrio Brewing is a fun getaway for those seeking a great craft brew to pair with sports watching. The food menu is loaded with wings, tacos, and other common bar food. Oh, and there are usually at least 10 beers and seasonal selections on tap.

Bob Dobb’s, which shares ownership with Fourth Avenue mainstays The HutO’Malleys Bar & Grill, and Corbett Brewing, is often seen as a headquarters for all things Chicago sports. Cubs and Bears memorabilia hangs on the walls, mixed in with the University of Arizona Wildcats logos. Plus, their patio is not only a prime spot for watching a game but people-watching as well!

The Canyon’s Crown Restaurant & Pub

The British-style restaurant and pub is located on the south side of Tanque Verde before you get to Sabino Canyon. From soccer to basketball, all types of sports are often displayed on multiple TVs strategically placed throughout the restaurant for your viewing pleasure. Plus, they offer daily Happy Hour specials throughout the week — plan accordingly!

Take a swing at The Dugout Sports Bar and Grill — the sports bar known for its multiple TVs, batting cages, and family-friendly fun. The restaurant is a great spot where sports enthusiasts, families, and foodies can play arcade games, pool, and darts.

Fini’s Landing

This casual, beach-themed restaurant is a great little spot to watch the games on the north side of town. Flip-flops and fish tacos are the norms here, but owners and Tucson natives Scott and Fini are huge sports fans. Fini’s Landing’s other concept, The Landing, is just as fun and located in Oro Valley at 8195 N. Oracle Rd.

Frog & Firkin

This popular University stop has a wide range of eats, drinks, and events to keep you entertained (game or no game). Pull in for a beer with some friends and watch the game (if you can find a seat, it gets packed).

Gentle Ben’s Brewing

The building itself is awe-inspiring with a 12-foot carved wooden bear out front, but the massive upper deck to the vast side patio and also the huge front bar, Gentle Ben’s is a great spot for hollering at the TV screen. For eats, it’s your traditional bar food but with a little bit of Southwestern cuisine mixed in.

Growler’s Taphouse

Over in Marana, this 3,000-square-foot restaurant has around 30 beers on tap and broadcasts all kinds of sports on their TVs. The reclaimed wood and Edison bulbs inside the taproom give it a microbrewery feel, but with a smidge of dive bar aesthetics.

There are more than enough big-screen TVs, shuffleboard, pool tables, foosball, arcade games, and batting cages. From slow-pitch softball to fast-pitch baseball, Home Plate is a nifty spot for the active sports fan as well as the armchair athlete. Plus, there’s plenty of beer and cocktails on the menu to pair with their standard bar food bites (wings, sandwiches, burgers, pizza, and more).

Hops Sports Grill

This locally owned East Tucson sports bar is geared up and ready to party — indoor and outdoor seating, food and drink specials are offered on game days, and TVs are aplenty. Oh, and there’s even a kid’s play area. Game on, all members of the family!

Louie’s Cantina

Good vibes are what you’ll find at both locations. When it comes to music, hip-hop, and country music coexist in peace. The original Louie’s Pub, found at 746 E. Fort Lowell Rd., opened in 2017 and Louie’s Cantina made its debut on the east side in 2022. Both spots have their own style but are equally as fun when it comes to rooting for your favorite team!

Mulligans Bar and Grill

Mulligan’s has always been a hidden neighborhood sports joint and they’re always stepping up their kitchen game — especially their burgers and wings. Bring your friends for game day and they even offer large group reservations.

Nancy’s Boondocks

It’s hard to miss this spot when driving by because there’s a bottle of wine in the parking lot the size of a T-Rex. Aside from their TV screens, pool tables, dart boards, beers, and fun bar food, they also have live music on certain nights.

Their wings, tacos, and michelada, which is a beast, are all worth a trip to either of the two Neighborhood locations (original spot is at 3940 E. 29th St.). If you’re at the downtown location on Congress, there’s plenty of TVs to catch the game, but stay long enough and the place turns into a full-on dance party.

No Anchovies

The two-story University joint has at least 50 big-screen TVs, and the giant Jenga and Connect Four help kill time during commercial breaks. While they built their reputation on pizza, don’t miss out on their loaded tots and sandwiches on fresh-baked bread.

O’Malley’s Bar & Grill

O’Malleys may be known for its nightlife, beer, and cocktails, but they also serve food on Fourth Avenue. With burgers, sandwiches, and salads, folks have a good number of options to choose from. Plus, they have a nice patio, large TVs, and pool tables.

On The Rocks

On The Rocks is a bar, yes, but it is also a family place. It’s just a nice change of pace at a place along that stretch of east side territory. Having an honest bar with honest drinks and food, inviting neighbors of all varieties is a presence bearing longevity in any circle of service.

Red Garter Saloon Bar & Grill

Some have said that the burgers at Red Garter are some of the best in Tucson. There’s at least 20 of ’em on the menu! There’s a TV in nearly every direction, and if you’re lucky, your game will be up on the large projection screen.

The Station Pub & Grill

If you live out in Marana and love sports bars, chances are you’ve been to The Station, which is located next door to an actual Fire Station. Aside from the cold beers, TVs, and tasty bar food, the interior walls are covered in servicemen and women’s patches to “exemplify The Station’s gratification for our homegrown heroes.”

Trident Grill IV

If you’ve been in Tucson for any amount of time, you’ve most likely heard about Trident Grill, either at the original location at Speedway and Campbell or the other spots on Swan just south of Fort Lowell and on Ina and Shannon. Oh, and don’t forget about the sister restaurant Trident Pizza Pub.
