Café Roka and Dos Cabezas WineWorks are teaming up for a special Dia de Los Muertos dinner.
The exclusive 7 course wine-pairing, prepared by Chef Rod Kass and Winemakers Todd & Kelly Bostock, will highlight regional flavors from across Mexico and Arizona local wines.
Though agave-based spirits like mescal and pulque are more traditional liquors for the holiday, Kass and the Bostocks are focusing on thoughtful wine and food combinations to create a unique culinary experience.
The seven-course dinner will include the following, paired with seven wines from Dos Cabezas:
- Ceviche
- Ensalada
- Pork Chile Verde
- A nopales vegetarian dish
- A Pescado dish
- A Carne dish
- Postre
Last year’s dinner with Carlson Creek Winery featured the following dishes and more:
- Salad of Oranges, Radish, Avocado & Jicama with a Honey-Lime Vinaigrette
- Shrimp with Poblano Mole & Napolito Relish
- Pork Gordita with Chile Colorado
- Steamed Bass Vera Cruz
Dinner begins at 6pm on Sunday, November 1 from 6 to 9pm at Cafe Roka in Bisbee. Tickets are $76.95 per person.
