Food trucks Mariscos El Bochas, Monster Sonoran Hot Dogs, and Pops Hot Chicken have joined the melting pot of cuisine at American Eat Co. at 1439 S. Fourth Ave.
“They’re young operators but they have a great product and social media is the key to their business,” said Jesus Bonillas, who owns American Eat Co. with his partners at Common Group. “And they realize that. And we love adding that to the food court. They bring that social media presence and good energy.”
All three food trucks will keep their mobile operations, each expanding with a space at American Eat Co.
Mariscos El Bochas
El Bochas, which specializes in Mexican seafood, officially opened Tuesday morning.
Operating hours will be are 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. Friday and Sunday.
The food truck location at 5142 S. 12th Ave. is open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily except for Tuesday.

Monster Sonoran Hot Dogs
Monster Sonoran Hot Dogs, whose menu features fun takes on Mexican street food such as birria-topped giant Sonoran hot dogs and cheesy birria tacos, is aiming to open within the next five days.
“We didn’t expected it to take off the way it did but we’re very thankful for everyone that has supported us and helped us get to where we are,” said Vargas, who owns Monster Sonoran Hot Dogs with his wife Mariel Figueroa. “We are very excited to see what to future holds for Monster Sonoran Hot Dogs.”
Operating hours at this location will be 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The original location at Menlo Park Liquors at 1000 W. Congress Street is open 11 a m. – 7 p.m. from Wednesday through Sunday.

Pops Hot Chicken
Pops Hot Chicken, which we featured in this video almost exactly one year ago, is hoping to open by the end of the month.
Additionally, the expanded space with the bar at the southern end of American Eat Co. is expanding with a stage for live music, expected to be completed within a month.
